Rules & Regulations

All participants are required to read and understand the rules and regulations (“Rules & Regulations”) before registering for PLN Electric Run 2024. Please note that participants are those who receive an official PLN Electric Run 2024 confirmation email confirming their entry as a participant of PLN Electric Run 2024, whether through online registration, or any other registration program of PLN Electric Run (“Participant”).

  1. By registering for the PLN Electric Run 2024 (the “Race”), Participants fully accept and must comply with the Rules & Regulations.
  2. The race distance categories are 21.0975 KM (“Half Marathon”), 10 KM (“10K”), and 5 KM (“5K”).
  3. Race registration is open to both Indonesian citizens and foreigners who have a passport.
  4. Only Indonesian participants can and are entitled to be winners in the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K race distance categories which are divided into male and female categories (“Podium”). In addition, there are also winners for senior citizens and divided into male and female categories (“Masters”). Foreign participants agree and understand that their participation in the PLN Electric Run 2024 has a non-competition status and therefore they are not eligible to win the Race.
  5. The minimum age requirements to participate in the Race are: 17 (seventeen) years old for Half Marathon, 14 (fourteen) years old for 10K and 5K. Participants must meet the minimum age requirement on race day (December 10, 2024) (“Race Day”). Indonesian participants who are 40 (forty) years old or older on Race Day are eligible for the Master category.
  6. Participants under 17 (seventeen) years old on Race Day are required to provide a parental consent letter at the time of race packet collection. The format of the letter can be downloaded HERE.
  7. Participants are advised to seek medical advice from a doctor regarding the Participant’s health condition before participating in the Contest. The Participant acknowledges and accepts that his/her participation in the Race carries potential risks and hazards, including but not limited to accidents, physical injuries, health problems, paralysis, death, damage to property and/or other losses, and other risks not known in advance and which cannot currently be reasonably predicted (“Risks and Hazards”). Risks and Hazards may occur due to, among other things, the Participant’s acts or omissions or the acts or omissions of others, and/or the condition of the facilities and/or equipment and natural and/or weather conditions and/or Force Majeure conditions (as defined below).
  8. The race organizer PLN Electric Run (“Race Organizer”) shall not be liable for any harm and/or loss caused by any of the following, including but not limited to:
    • The occurrence of Risks and Hazards

    • Late arrival at the Race

    • Congenital illness

    • Accidents during the race

    • Loss and/or damage to each other’s personal property during the Race and/or

    • Force Majeure (as defined below).

       

  9. Although an active lifestyle during pregnancy is encouraged, the Race Organizer requires pregnant women to report the pregnancy condition and submit a doctor’s letter and sign a waiver before participating in the race or no later than one (1) week before the race via email. A sample waiver can be downloaded HERE. The race organizers are not responsible for any complications or health issues that may arise from racing during pregnancy and may terminate the participant from the race for health reasons.
  10. Participants expressly and exclusively grant the organizers and their assignees, the irrevocable right to use their names, likenesses, biographies, whether factual or otherwise, in connection with the production, distribution and publication of images, photographs and other intellectual property rights associated with PLN Electric Run 2024, worldwide, in any and all devices, media or publications.
  11. The copyright and other intellectual property rights (if any) of the images, photographs, articles, timestamps and location information covering PLN Electric Run 2024, and the rights to use them for TV broadcasts, newspapers, magazines, the internet and any other media or publications belong to the organizer. Such use also includes, but is not limited to, the name and other personal information such as age and address (country, province and city) of the Participant.
  1. Participants must be able to complete the entire distance to be covered in each category, from the official start line to the official finish line, within the time required by the Race Organizer (Cut Off Time). Please note that the calculation of official times is at the discretion of the Race Organizer.
  2. Submission of registration through online registration using the official PLN Mobile application (and specific links from the Race Organizer for other programs, if any) is deemed as acknowledgement and acceptance of the Rules & Conditions.
  3. A payment confirmation email along with the registration identity number will be sent after our system has successfully received and verified the Participant’s payment.
  4. The Race Organizer reserves the right to close registrations before the registration deadline and/or in the event that the Race quota has been met.
  5. The Participant agrees to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about the Participant contained in the registration form. The Participant is responsible for any information provided. The Race Organizer may contact the Participants from time to time by email. Any notice sent by the Race Organizer to the email address registered with the Race Organizer shall be deemed to have been received by the Participant.
  6. There are different cut-off times and minimum age requirements for each Race category.
  7. The bib number is a personal identification specific to the Participant and may not be exchanged and/or transferred.
  8. The sale and/or transfer of Race entries/bib numbers is prohibited, and violation thereof will result in disqualification and/or banning of the individual from future events.
  9. Information regarding the time of collection of race packs, including bib numbers, will be further informed via an official notification email from the Organizer.
  10. The bib number will be provided upon submission of the Race registration confirmation and ID card. The bib number must be clearly visible during the Race. The Organizer has the authority to withhold bib numbers and race packs under certain conditions such as violation of the Rules & Regulations, indications of forgery, and/or other similar conditions.
  11. Race packets cannot be delivered and cannot be collected on Race Day.
  12. If a Participant is found to have registered for two different categories under the same name, the Race Organizer reserves the right to withhold all bib numbers and race packs and disqualify the Participant from the Race.
  13. Bib numbers and race packs may only be collected by a representative of the Participant (“Race Pack Collector”) in a manner to be separately advised by the Race Organizer.
  14. The starting corral for each category will be closed at the gun start or when the starting signal for that category is sounded. Participants who are not in the category start corral at the time of the gun start will not be allowed to start and will be given DNS (Did not Start) status.
  15. Participants who engage in unsportsmanlike behavior including but not limited to blocking, and/or obstructing other Participants along the run course will be automatically disqualified from the Race.
  16. Beverage stations are available along the run course and at the finish line. Fruit stations are available at the Half Marathon run course, 10K, and finish line. Flush stations are available on the Half Marathon run course.
  17. No vehicles, bicycles, in-line skates, skateboards, baby joggers, wheelchairs, strollers (of any description) of an unauthorized nature are permitted on the run course.
  18. No animals of any kind with or without a leash are permitted on the run course.
  19. Participants must not wear clothing or wear equipment that may cause harm, pain or danger to themselves and/or other Participants. Participants must not run with their face covered.
  20. Participants must not dress inappropriately for a sporting event or in clothing that is inappropriate for other Participants or spectators.
  21. Participants must not wear clothing for the purpose of political or religious statements or propaganda, as well as for advertising.
  22. Participants must not use any attribute that may cause other Participants to misidentify it as a signal and/or confuse other Participants and/or the Race Organizer, and/or use any device with a sound volume that may disturb other Participants.
  23. Participants must not perform any act that causes a delay in the Race, such as dancing, performing, playing instruments, standing near the start or finish line, or on the roads along the run course.
  24. The Race Organizer is not responsible for any form of fundraising by Participants in the PLN Electric Run. Such responsibility rests with the relevant Participant.
  25. Participants must not prevent pedestrians from crossing or obstruct the passage of emergency vehicles at certain points, when and where they are permitted to do so.
  26. Race Times will be displayed at the start and finish lines. Participants must meet the Cut Off Time as follows: 4 (four) hours for Half Marathon, 2 (two) hours for 10K, and 1 (one) hour for 5K.
  27. The Race Organizer will apply Cut Off Points in some Race categories. More detailed information regarding the location and time for each Cut Off Points, will be informed separately by the Race Organizer.
  28. Participants who do not meet the Cut Off Time and Cut Off Points and disqualified Participants are declared as Participants who did not complete the Race and are not entitled to a finishing medal.
  29. Participants must not obstruct/disrupt the race by disobeying the instructions of the organizers and/or officials. Violation of this rule may be grounds for disqualifying a Participant from the Race.
  30. The Race Organizer reserves the right to stop a Participant from continuing the Race if the Participant behaves inappropriately in the Race and the Participant is disqualified from the Race.
  31. Carrying items that could potentially impede the smooth running or safety of other Participants or could cause danger or risk of harm to themselves or other participants is prohibited.
  32. Road safety is controlled by the relevant police departments and transportation services. Medical services are provided by the Race Organizer in cooperation with local hospitals and medical personnel. Medical personnel are permitted to stop Participants who they see as medically unable to continue the Race.
  33. Timekeeping is set up for each category. All Participants will be issued bib numbers with timing chips to be worn during the Race. Check points will be placed at the start/finish line, and at designated timing points to ensure all Participants follow the official race course. Participants who fail to follow the official race course are disqualified from the Race.
  34. The Participant who wins the Race (“Winner”) must wear the timing chip and associated bib number. Winners must provide proof of identification in order to receive a prize.
  35. Winners who are unable to provide valid proof of identification may be disqualified and not awarded a prize.
  36. From time to time, the Race Organizer may amend the Rules & Regulations in our sole discretion without prior notice, so Participants should regularly review the Rules & Regulations whenever accessing or using the PLN Mobile application and/or the official PLN Electric Run website.
  37. Other matters that have not been listed in these Rules & Conditions are determined later by the Race Organizer.
  1. Winners who are Indonesian citizens are entitled to prize money for Podium or Master Podium. The winner will be determined based on the official race record time, and the winner is only entitled to a prize from one of the podiums he/she won, based on the official race record time (no double dipping).
  2. Foreign participants are non-competition status and are not eligible for podium prizes.
  3. Winners who are Indonesian citizens who are more than 40 (forty) years old on Race Day, have the opportunity to win the Podium or Master. The winner will be determined based on the official race record time, and the winner is only entitled to a prize from one of the podiums he/she wins, based on the official race record time. (whichever amount of money is higher). The winner can only take one prize from one of the podiums he/she won (no double dipping).
  4. Participats who win the grand prize of 5 (five) electric motorcycles must show their bib according to their registered identity and have been recorded crossing the starting line of the race.
  5. Please note that the winner’s prize money is a tax object according to applicable government regulations, which will be fully borne by each winner.
  6. The winners’ prize disbursement process will be carried out within 25 (twenty-five) working days from the Race Day. The Winner must ensure the accuracy of the bank account number, address and other information required by the Race Organizer. Failure to provide accurate information will impact the duration of the prize disbursement process, and this is the sole responsibility of the relevant Winner.
  1. Registration fees are non-refundable. The Race Organizer reserves the right to reject confirmed registrations if there is untrue, false and/or incomplete information in the registration form.
  2. The Race Organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Race in the event of Force Majeure. If the Race is canceled and/or rescheduled due to Force Majeure, the Race Organizer is not obligated to refund any registration fees paid by the Participants and the Race Organizer shall not be liable for any Risks and Harms that may occur in connection with the cancellation and/or rescheduling of the Race. Please note that Force Majeure is a state or condition of war (whether declared or not), violence, social unrest, strikes, epidemics, accidents, fires, floods, natural disasters, embargoes, legal reasons, or actions of the government of the Republic of Indonesia, and other similar conditions/circumstances that may occur beyond the Race Organizer’s ability to prevent.
The Rules & Regulations are made in Indonesian and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the Indonesian version and the English version, the Indonesian version shall prevail.
